Every living being is a point of connection in the sacred web of life — and that web is incomplete without each one of us.
That teaching is why this community exists. My name is Lee — a dreamer, a steward, and the one who tends this fire. And if you have found your way here, I believe it was not by accident. Something in you recognized something in these words before your mind had a chance to catch up. That recognition — that quiet stirring — is worth paying attention to.
THE SACRED WEB
Picture a spider’s web glistening in the early morning light. Every strand reaches outward from the center — delicate, purposeful, alive. And every single strand, no matter how fine, touches every other strand. Pull one, and the whole web moves.
This is what the ancestral teachings call the Sacred Web of Life.
And here is what Jeanne and I have come to understand more deeply — every living being is not merely a strand in that web. We are each a point of connection — a place where strands meet, cross, and radiate outward in every direction at once.
Like the jewels in Indra’s Net — an ancient teaching from the Buddhist wisdom tradition — each one polished so perfectly that it reflects every other jewel in the entire net — we are simultaneously receiving and sending. Held and holding. Touched and touching.
Every part contains the whole. And the whole lives in every part.
The rock people. The tree people. The winged ones and the four-legged ones. The ancestors and the children not yet born. You. Me. All of us — woven together in a tapestry so vast and so intricate that we can barely perceive its edges.
And yet we feel it. In the moment a stranger’s kindness unexpectedly lifts us. In the way the forest floor breathes beneath our feet. In the inexplicable sense that we are held by something greater than ourselves.
We are not separate from the web. We are the web — dreaming itself forward.
AN INVITATION
The web is already holding you. It always has been.
What this community offers is simply a place to remember that — to sit in circle with others who are also remembering, to learn from teachings that have guided people toward balance and Right Relationship for generations, and to practice, together, what it means to walk in a good way.
There may not be many of us. But the Elders taught that when we dream together — when we gather with intention and focus and open hearts — we can bring forward something truly remarkable.
Welcome to the circle. We are so glad you are here.
YOUR RIPPLE THIS WEEK
Take a moment today and ask yourself — where do I feel the web most strongly in my own life? Where do I sense that invisible point of connection — where strands meet — linking me to something or someone beyond myself?
You do not have to name it perfectly. Just notice it. That noticing is enough.
If something stirs as you sit with that question — share it with us. Every point of connection belongs in this web. And your reflection just might become someone else’s thread of recognition.
A WORD ABOUT WHO WE ARE
Before we go further, a word about who we are.
We are not Hopi. The name Hopi Wisdom Teachings reflects a deep resonance with the Hopi worldview — its values of peace, balance, harmony, and interconnectedness — not a claim to speak for the Hopi people or own their tradition.
We receive. We honor. We carry forward.
All are welcome in this circle. No prior knowledge required. Only an open heart.
WHAT LIVES HERE
Hopi Wisdom Teachings is a sanctuary — a gathering place for seekers who sense that there is a deeper way of moving through the world, and who are ready to explore what that looks like in the context of their own lives.
Currently, you will find three primary offerings here:
Dream Weaving Circles — Sacred community circles where we explore the wisdom of dreams together. Not just nighttime dreams — all of it. The continuous dreaming that is happening right now, whether your eyes are open or closed. We learn to hear what the Dream Maker has been saying all along. Learn more about Dream Weaving Circles.
Sacred Ceremony — Five times a year we gather around the Sacred Fire to honor the turning of the Earth — at the solstices, the equinoxes, and the New Fire. Ceremony is free to attend and open to all. It asks only your presence and your heart. Join us for our next Ceremony.
Ripples of Wisdom Blog — Where ancestral wisdom meets the everyday. Each post is an invitation to pause, to look more deeply, and to ask — what ripple am I creating today? You are already reading it. Explore more teachings here.
