Meet The Happiness Team at Hopi Wisdom Teachings
Editorial
For over 30 years, Jeanne Terry worked as a teacher with children and teens with emotional and behavioral challenges. Later, she directed a program for teen parents to help them finish high-school or get their GED and to learn the life-skills they would need to parent and earn a living. Along side those (steady income) jobs she worked for 30+ years as a body worker focused on bringing to light the emotional basis of chronic pain in the body.
Jeanne’s role at Hopi Wisdom Teachings is Content Editor. She works closely with Grandmother and Barbara Lee to assist with content creation, editing materials for publication and participating in recording sessions.
Since 2006, Jeanne has been sitting in Grandmother’s circles. She finished her seven-year apprenticeship with Grandmother Medicine Song at the end of 2015. Jeanne is also trained by Grandmother Medicine Song to teach circles in her home in Kentucky.
What Jeanne says about Grandmother Medicine Song and her teachings,
“For me these teachings have dispelled any lingering ideas that I am a separate being in a world of other material things. Now I find myself living in, and deeply connected to a world that is sentient and alive. I feel as though the all of nature has become a magical, sentient, alive being that can and will support me and teach me. This, too me, is living in Sacred Life.”

What Satya says about Grandmother Medicine Song and her teachings:
“What I learned most through her wisdom is to listen to my own ancient voice within and start living by this knowing. This gave me back my joy, my latent knowing of how everything is connected and the importance of living my own life in right relationship with all created.”
